WATCHING ABOUT TEN MINUTES OF THE 1960, ULTRA-COMMERCIAL RICHARD FLEISCHER/STEVEN BOYD AFRICAN ADVENTURES MOVIE, "THE BIG GAMBLE", THIS MORNING......

Image
I 'tuned in' to a scene wherein Juliette Greco hauls   a    sterling silver melon-shaped tea pot by Joseph and Albert Savory, London 1838....from the back of a truck, to serve an ailing David Wayne, holding a late 19th C.  silver  tumbler,  some refreshing tea......seemed so silly....The travelers across Africa, suffering in the heat and a broke-down vehicle, are all sporting immaculately-tailored clothes with ironed seams.....well, not so much...Wayne...who has been sweating from a high fever, of course...... Not a Film for 'the hypervigilant' Film Critics, I'd bet.....so, about ten minutes of it was enough for me......

Perhaps, a bit too many drapery details....my beige-green Unisex Distillation Garb for an Imaginary Project Runway DUNE Fashion Challenge.......
